In history I have to build a model of a trench, airplane, gas mask, tank, sub, etc.basically technology that was new in WW1. (I choose one) I can use whatever material I want to use. Any ideas on how to build? Thanks

    A trench would be easiest.
    Use foam for the “body” of the model, with plywood for the base and frame of the model. Cut the trench in the foam, and cut the foam’s surface with clay or paper mache. Adding replica sand bags and logs are fine details, and cotton balls, when painted appropriately, make fine smoke clouds and explosions.model soldiers add reality to the model as well.

    Model bi-wing plane kits are available at hobby shops and are fun to build. But maybe that’s cheating.

    you could easily make the tank out of cardboard,the plane out of balsa wood and trenches out of paper mache,the submarine out of kitchen roll inner.good luck.
